    The College sets standards of professional practice for registered midwives and works to ensure midwives meet those standards to deliver safe, ethical and effective care.

    CMBC’s legal obligation is to protect the public through the regulation of registered midwives, setting standards of practice, recognizing midwifery education programs, and addressing complaints about CMBC’s registrants.
